Hi, I’m Kath. I’m a mum, a writer and a breathworker.

I first discovered the transformative power of the breath as a young adult, doing pranayama in yoga classes. I started to learn about and practice energy healing and did my first Reiki training at this time. I was also experiencing the healing power of music, dance and the Arts, and coming together as a collective to co-create and for social change. Later on, I completed my Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training and Reiki Master’s, and the dancing didn’t stop.

My interests led me to work with children, young people and parents in Community Arts Education projects. I was passionate about creating projects and spaces, especially for young people to share their voices and stories, and also about bringing more of the Healing Arts into the work.

When I had my son my own healing journey took a deep dive.

Motherhood has been the steepest learning curve and deepest healing journey.

From my son’s early years, I faced many challenges and trauma. I stopped dancing. My sister invited me to a week-long module with AIR School of Breathwork. I was very unsure, and the anxiety was excruciating, but I found the courage to let my heart lead and go.

Here, I began to put the pieces of a broken self back together. I started to learn to deeply listen to myself, to be seen and heard.  I began to understand how transformational and healing this simple act of presence and truly seeing and hearing another can be.

With the breath, I connected more and more back to my true self, to my innate inner wisdom, creativity, joy and to a trust in myself and life.

I began to learn how to deeply listen to my child and to trust his own innate inner wisdom too.  I found communities of parents doing this, finding ways to support their families and each other... Learning, growing and creating together through the joys, challenges and traumas of life in the world of today... And sharing stories and playlists for dancing in the living room and beyond.

I’m grateful to have been able to continue to be part of collaborations and co-creations of spaces for our voices and stories.

Breathwork was my anchor and guide through the most transformational and challenging time of my life, and continues to be. I completed the breathwork practitioner training with AIR, so I could share this gentle yet powerful modality with others. I am particularly passionate about assisting parents and carers in their breathwork journeys, and contributing to the support and care for them and the children and young people in our lives and in the world. â€‹
